Vessel Haulage and Berthing Management

Operation and management of a ship refit centre comprising a 950 tonne marine slipway and vessel-traversing system for hauling of large yachts from the water and movement to internal hangars.  Also provided various ancillary services including shipyard maintenance, berthing management and marine infrastructure surveying and repair.

US Army Watercraft Design Modifications

Provided designs for major upgrades to increase the capabilities of a range of US Army watercraft including LT100 tug fleet, LCM8 landing craft, LT100 fire-fighting tug, BD floating crane and LARC amphibious vehicles.

Slipway Redesign

Provided engineering design package and program management for the upgrade of a heavy-slipway system for UK Defence Estates, to increase the capability of the slipway to accommodate larger US Army vessels and allow lateral movement away from the slipway area onto hard-standing for long term storage and refit.

Shipyard Management

Site management and maintenance of a UK south coast shipyard, provision of condition surveys and ongoing maintenance of various fixed and floating marine infrastructure on site, including conversion of a large barge into a fixed working platform, and management of dredging and moorings maintenance.

Tug Design and Build Support

Provided on-site survey, technical and engineering support and inspection assistance to US Army TACOM throughout the design, construction and fielding of the ST-900 series tug fleet.  Follow-on contract awarded to provide full engineering drawing package incorporating all modifications to fleet of 16 vessels.

Landing Craft Lift Engineering Study

Provided feasibility study analysis and subsequent full engineering analysis to obtain technical data to determine the outcome of lifting, fleeting and downloading a US Army LCU2000 landing craft aboard a heavy lift ship.
